About the Organization
Rehabilitation and Development Organization (RaDO) is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the areas of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).
Currently, the organization operates in Somali, Sudanese, and Eritrean refugee camps, as well as in Tigray and other regions of Ethiopia.
Job Summary
- The Community Liaison Officer is responsible for strengthening relationships between the organization and local communities, supporting community mobilization activities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and promoting effective implementation of project activities.
- The role works closely with community members, local authorities, and project teams to ensure community participation, awareness, and successful project implementation.

- Work Location: North Wollo – Lasta and Bugena Woreda.
- Gender: Female or Male.
- Salary: As per the organizational salary scale.
- Duty Starting Date: Immediate.
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor's (BA) degree in a relevant Social Science field.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience for BA degree holders.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for MA degree holders.
- Experience in social mobilization, community education, and managerial positions is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate community mobilization and awareness activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate community participation in project planning and implementation.
- Conduct community meetings, consultations, and awareness sessions.
- Support communication between the organization and beneficiary communities.
- Identify community needs, concerns, and feedback, and communicate them to project teams.
- Prepare activity reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Collaborate with local government offices and partner organizations to support project implementation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of community mobilization and community engagement approaches.
- Experience in social education and awareness-raising activities.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain project documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian and community development programs is an advantage.
