Job Summary:
We are looking for a Customs Assessor to evaluate import and export documentation, classify goods, and ensure compliance with customs regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of customs valuation, tariff codes, and import/export laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess import/export declarations and supporting documents.
- Classify goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes.
- Verify declared values and ensure compliance with customs laws.
- Liaise with customs authorities and clients to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate assessment records.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in customs assessment, clearance, or related logistics roles (highly preferable)
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
