Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Development
- Deliver engaging and student-centered lessons in Economics and Business Studies aligned with the Ethiopian National Curriculum
- Enrich the curriculum with global best practices, fostering analytical thinking and real-world application
- Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities that promote critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Use diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Student Development & Mentorship
- Serve as a mentor and role model, inspiring girls to pursue academic excellence and personal growth
- Support students in developing leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Provide individualized academic support and guidance to help students reach their full potential
- Encourage participation in clubs, competitions, and community projects related to economics and business
School Culture & Collaboration
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and holistic education
- Participate actively in staff development, school events, and strategic planning

Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress
- Prepare regular reports and contribute to the school’s academic monitoring and evaluation systems
- Assist in developing and implementing school improvement initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- Strong command of the Ethiopian National Curriculum and ability to deliver it effectively.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement techniques.
- Proven ability to foster critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to girls’ education, empowerment, and holistic development.
- High standards of professional integrity, punctuality, and team collaboration.
