Project Finance Officer - Readvert

Job Summary

The Receivables & Project Finance Officer is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments, and supporting project-related financial activities. The role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow, accurate financial records, and compliance with company policies while coordinating closely with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue accurate customer invoices in line with contracts and project milestones.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
• Actively manage collections through calls, emails, and formal correspondence to ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with project managers to verify deliverables and billing schedules.
• Track project revenues, costs, and payment terms to ensure proper financial control.
• Negotiate payment plans where necessary and escalate long-outstanding accounts to the Finance Team Leader.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of receivable transactions.
• Prepare monthly receivables and project finance reports for management review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or project finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
