Job Summary
The Executive Office Head will oversee and coordinate administrative, HR, project development, and communication functions of the organization. We are seeking a health professional with strong leadership, excellent writing skills, and experience in project writing, fundraising proposals, and non-profit grant submissions. Perfect fluency in Amharic and English is required. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, innovate ideas, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all administrative and HR functions for smooth office operations
- Draft, edit, and format official letters, memos, project proposals, business plans, and reports in fluent Amharic and English
- Drive project development, fundraising initiatives, and non-profit grant writing
- Assist in marketing, outreach, and communication with partners, stakeholders, and government offices
- Maintain well-organized digital and physical filing systems
- Ensure clear and professional communication within the organization and externally
- Follow up on official and government documentation in compliance with Ethiopian laws
- Utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of all tasks
Qualifications
Preferred Education:
- Medical Doctors, Masters of Public Health (MPH) professionals, or Health Officers with significant management and project development experience
- Health professionals with a Master’s Degree (MSc/MA) in Health Service Management, Management, Business Administration, or related fields
Minimum Education:
- BSc in Health Sciences plus a degree in Management or very strong management & leadership experience in NGOs
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree holders: 3+ years of experience in administration, HR, project writing, or leadership roles in health care or health-related NGOs/organizations
- Master’s degree holders: 5+ years of experience in management, project coordination, or leadership roles in health care or health-related NGOs/organizations
Languages:
- Perfect fluency in Amharic and English (writing, speaking, listening, reading)
Technical & Professional Skills
- Exceptional writing skills for professional documents, proposals, and reports
- Strong project development and fundraising abilities
- Knowledge of organizational communication, marketing, and outreach
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Skilled in digital office and HR documentation systems
- Leadership and coordination skills to motivate teams

Salary (Including Benefits)

- Master’s Level: 35,000 ETB/month
- BSc in Health + Master’s degree (MSc/MA) in Health Service Management, Management, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Extra Benefits:
Health professionals will receive additional benefits for extra time (duty) service in their health profession.
