Site Engineer (Shoring & Piling)

Job Summary

On behalf of our clients we are looking for site engineer. The Site Engineer (Shoring & Piling) will oversee and manage all daily site operations related to shoring, piling, and geotechnical works. The role involves strict supervision, quality assurance, technical coordination, and ensuring that all construction activities are executed in line with project designs, specifications, method statements, and safety standards. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of drilling operations, reinforcement installation, concrete works, anchors, and soil conditions.

Key Responsibilities 

• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily shoring and piling activities on site. 
• Prepare, review, and verify pile logs, drilling records, concrete volumes, and reinforcement details. 
• Ensure full compliance with project drawings, specifications, and approved method statements. 
• Coordinate drilling rigs, cranes, concrete trucks, and other site equipment and resources.
• Conduct quality inspections on drilling depth, verticality, socketing, reinforcement cages, tremie pipe setup, and concrete placement.
• Follow up on anchor drilling, tendon installation, grouting, and tensioning activities (where applicable).
• Liaise and communicate effectively with consultants, client representatives, and the project management team.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly progress reports. 
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure all site activities adhere to safety standards.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues and site coordination challenges.
• Monitor material usage and prepare timely material requests.

Required Qualifications & Skills 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (experience in piling, shoring, or geotechnical works is highly advantageous).
• Strong technical understanding of drilling rigs, CFA, rotary piling, anchors, and geotechnical testing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, geotechnical, and construction drawings.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills (Excel, Word). 
• Excellent communication, leadership, and site management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of construction safety standards and on-site procedures.
