Job Summary
We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vehicle Tracker and Maintenance Coordinator. This role is vital to the efficient operation of our vehicle fleet, combining tracking, maintenance scheduling, procurement support, incident response, and software configuration.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Tracking & Maintenance
- Monitor and track real-time locations of company vehicles using GPS and telematics systems.
- Create and manage geo fences, alerts, and other configurations within fleet management software.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver assignments.
- Schedule and document regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Review and compile service records, maintenance history, and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Deployment Head in sourcing and procuring vehicle and machine parts.
- Coordinate timely delivery of parts to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Act as a point of contact during vehicle-related incidents or breakdowns.
- Coordinate with drivers, mechanics, and support teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Identify and dispatch necessary tools, parts, or personnel to incident locations.
- Document incident details and follow up on resolution and preventive measures.
- Compile inspection results, service records, and vehicle performance data into structured Excel reports.
- Generate weekly and monthly summaries for management review.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of fleet operations.
Qualifications
- Technical or Vocational training diploma or equivalent; technical or logistics training is a plus.
- Experience in fleet tracking, logistics, or maintenance coordination.
- Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., geo fencing, alerts, configuration).
- Familiarity with different car models, parts and preventative maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and parts procurement.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
