HR Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. The HR Officer will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including:

• Assisting in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Coordinating and conducting employee onboarding and orientation programs.
• Maintaining and updating employee records (digital and physical) in compliance with legal requirements.
• Supporting performance management processes and tracking appraisal deadlines.
• Assisting in employee relations matters, including addressing queries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Administering HR-related documentation such as contracts of employment, letters, and forms.
• Monitoring and tracking employee attendance, leave requests, and timesheets.
• Ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
• Supporting the planning and execution of HR initiatives and training programs.
• Participating in HR audits and supporting reporting requirements.
• Assisting with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

• Proven experience of 1–2 years in an HR-related role.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian labour law and HR best practices.
