Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. The HR Officer will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including:
- Assisting in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinating and conducting employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintaining and updating employee records (digital and physical) in compliance with legal requirements.
- Supporting performance management processes and tracking appraisal deadlines.
- Assisting in employee relations matters, including addressing queries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Administering HR-related documentation such as contracts of employment, letters, and forms.
- Monitoring and tracking employee attendance, leave requests, and timesheets.
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
- Supporting the planning and execution of HR initiatives and training programs.
- Participating in HR audits and supporting reporting requirements.
- Assisting with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience of 1–2 years in an HR-related role.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian labour law and HR best practices.
