Role Summary

The Information and Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Industry Five’s digital and IT systems to ensure operational stability and productivity. This includes:

  • Office 365 administration
  • Azure environment management
  • SAP ERP systems
  • Manufacturing execution systems
  • Networking infrastructure
  • Connectivity stability
  • All digital tools critical to running our business efficiently

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Office 365 accounts, security, and licenses.
  • Oversee the Microsoft Azure environment for stability, access management, and resource optimization.
  • Manage and support the SAP ERP system, ensuring seamless operation across manufacturing, finance, and supply chain functions.
  • Maintain and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to enable real-time production visibility and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain stable network connectivity and infrastructure for all company operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards aligned with global best practices.
  • Manage IT vendors, service contracts, and procurement to ensure value, quality, and compliance.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for staff digital accounts and equipment.
  • Propose and implement digital tools that improve productivity, data security, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and deliver IT strategy aligned with Industry Five’s growth objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT systems in a manufacturing, industrial, or enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and integration with production processes.
  • Strong understanding of networking, connectivity, and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Amharic.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Office 365 Administration, SAP certifications, CompTIA Network+, or related credentials.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations in IT services.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and data privacy best practices.
