Amref is seeking a motivated Intern – Community Facilitation Support to assist in the implementation of community-based activities under the NAGAA project. The intern will support activities at kebele and woreda levels, serving as a liaison between the community, health facilities, and the project team. The intern will help ensure that community-based activities are well-organized, documented, and effectively implemented, contributing to the smooth functioning of the project. The role provides practical exposure to community engagement, facilitation of workshops and trainings, and support for project implementation processes, while helping to strengthen local systems and partnerships.The position may require occasional travel to woredas and kebeles to support community-level activities and to assist the project team in coordination, documentation, and follow-up tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern/community facilitation support will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing workshops, trainings, and meetings at community, health facility, and woreda level
- Facilitate financial and administrative procedures (including logistics arrangements) for trainings, meetings, and workshops
- Support the NAGAA project team in documenting key elements of trainings, meetings, and workshop reports
- Work with the NAGAA project team in compiling and tracking the training online database
- Participate in NAGAA project team meetings and document minutes
- Prepare and submit procurement plans to the Project Officer
- Closely follow up on the procurement status of submitted procurement plans
- Assist the NAGAA project team in different project implementation processes
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/degree in public health, clinical nursing, or equivalent education
- Fresh graduates (maximum 1–2 years since graduation)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Spoken and written fluency in English, Oromiffa, and Amharic
