Investment Project Development & Execution Officer – Manufacturing | MIDROC Manufacturing Cluster

Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Investment Project Development & Execution Officer – Manufacturing to join the Manufacturing Cluster at MIDROC Investment Group.

You’ll be stepping into a mission-critical role driving high-impact projects across manufacturing, Agri-processing, and strategic investments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Leadership

• Manage 30–50 active industrial projects across the full lifecycle from idea to commercial launch.
• Lead feasibility studies for diverse sectors: manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, and more.
• Oversee technical and commercial coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

PMO Execution & System Ownership

• Operate and continuously improve our in-house, enterprise-grade Project Management Tracker.
• Track tasks, milestones, and KPIs across teams using Gantt charts, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal).
• Engage external suppliers, international consultants, and global financiers.
• Prepare strategic briefs and recommendations for senior executives and C-level decision-makers.

Strategic & Field Work

• Lead site visits, assess plant readiness, analyze utility and land constraints, and advise on expansion strategy.
• Provide technical inputs for supplier evaluations, RFQs, machinery selection, and infrastructure requirements.

Capacity Building & Legacy Work

• Contribute to internal training, PMO manuals, benchmark visits, and system-building.
• You’ll help professionalize how this organization runs projects—not just do tasks.

Who We’re Looking For

• Engineering or Economics background (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar).
• 2–5 years of strong project or investment experience in industry, infrastructure, or consulting.
• Excel or Google Sheets mastery; project planning tools are second nature to you.
• You thrive in chaos and bring order—structured, clear, and grounded.
• You're not afraid to get your hands dirty in the field and think on your feet in boardrooms.
• You care about impact. You want to build something that outlives you.

Where You’ll Work

• Based in Addis Ababa, with travel to regional industrial sites (e.g., Adama, Hawassa, other regional cities).
• Embedded inside the Manufacturing Cluster of MIDROC, with direct visibility to top leadership.
• You'll report to the Corporate Project Director, under the DCEO of Manufacturing.
