Job Summary
The Junior Logistics Officer is responsible for supporting the organization's daily import, export, customs clearance, and logistics documentation activities. The role involves coordinating import and export operations, preparing shipping documentation, maintaining accurate logistics records, and supporting the Logistics Team Manager with reporting and administrative tasks.
Education
- BA Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or any related business field.
Experience
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Import & Export Operations
- Manage air and sea import clearance procedures through the Customs Commission and relevant authorities.
- Coordinate air and sea export operations with Customs, Ethiopian Airlines, and shipping lines.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all shipping and customs documentation is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
- Submit and manage third-party permission requests (INSA, ECA, MOT, etc.) through the Single Window System.
- Prepare all necessary import and export documents in compliance with shipping requirements.
Data & Administration
- Maintain organized filing systems, including printing, document verification, data cleaning, and record archiving for easy retrieval.
- Prepare daily reports using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for the Logistics Team Manager.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with internal team members, external stakeholders, and the Logistics Team Manager.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for reporting and data entry.
- Knowledge of import and export documentation processes.
- Understanding of customs clearance procedures and shipping documentation.
- General computer management skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
