Job Description
Education: 12th/10th Grade Complete; and Public I or Third level Driving License
Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Driving experience. Experience in banking industry is advantageous.
Job Purpose
Good driver etiquette is essential to transport the bank's employees or goods/belongings moving to different locations for work. Additionally, it is important to properly and efficiently maintain the vehicle in charge.
Driver/Detailed Functions
It ensures that the following are met before starting work:
- Engine oil
- Water
- Lighting
- Tire blower
The bank operates heavy, medium, small, and light vehicles and transports goods both in and out of the city. It ensures that the requirements for the vehicle, such as:
- Fuel
- Backup tires
- Wrenches
are met.
Field Work Responsibilities
On field work, the driver:
- Buys and distributes goods for the vehicle with legal receipts when needed, such as fuel and other goods.
- Monitors the vehicle's mileage counter, records the departure and arrival numbers, and places of departure on the prepared form.
- Inspects the vehicle every year.
Maintenance and Reporting
He will:
- Monitor spare parts and refurbishment required for the vehicle.
- Notify the department head or transport management in a timely manner.
- Perform minor repairs and report any overwhelming breakdowns immediately.
Additional Duties
He will also:
- Hand over the assets to the person responsible for the delivery of the property.
- Maintain the safety of the delivered vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle is serviced in a timely manner.
Uniform and Conduct
During working hours, he wears the bank's uniform clean. He performs other related duties provided by his immediate supervisor.
