Job Summary
On behalf of our client, we are urgently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operational Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's medical center. The ideal candidate is a medical doctor or qualified health officer with a solid track record in healthcare operations, strong leadership skills, and proven experience in managing medical teams and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all operational aspects of the medical center to ensure efficiency, quality patient care, and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring optimal staffing, workflow, and performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline procedures, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.
- Monitor daily operations including patient flow, resource allocation, and facility management.
- Ensure all medical services comply with national health regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans to improve operational performance.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and supplies in collaboration with the finance and logistics teams.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on operational KPIs, challenges, and improvements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key point of contact during inspections, audits, or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Health Management.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare facility with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulations, and patient care standards.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to operational issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a hospital, diagnostic center, or large clinic.
- Additional certifications in healthcare management or leadership.
- Knowledge of medical software systems and data analysis.
