We're seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Specialist to join our team and help ensure our internal processes run smoothly and our client services stay exceptional.

Job Summary:

The Operations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating daily business activities, improving operational procedures, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring smooth client service delivery. The right candidate will be someone who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and has a strong understanding of the travel business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient workflow across departments
  • Assist in the coordination and fulfillment of client travel bookings (flights, hotels, cruises, etc.)
  • Maintain and update operational systems, trackers, and internal records
  • Liaise with suppliers, airlines, cruise lines, and partners to confirm bookings and resolve issues
  • Monitor client inquiries and ensure timely, professional responses
  • Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance service delivery
  • Support the team in handling travel documentation, payment tracking, and logistical coordination
  • Prepare operational reports and assist with internal audits or compliance tasks
  • Assist in coordinating staff schedules, meetings, and team communications

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Travel & Tourism, or related field
  • At least 3–6 years of experience in operations, in travel or service-based companies
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.); experience with CRM or booking tools is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset

Preferred Qualities:

  • Familiarity with the Ethiopian travel market and major service providers
  • Previous experience working in a travel agency or hospitality setting
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and adaptable under pressure
  • Independent and can take on multiple responsibilities if needed
