Pavement And Materials Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled Pavement and Materials Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join the team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pavement design, construction materials investigation, and geotechnical assessments. The candidate will be responsible for supporting infrastructure projects through technical analysis, material evaluation, pavement design, and quality monitoring.

Education

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 5-8 years of professional experience in pavement and materials engineering.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and field testing of soil, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete materials.
• Experience conducting pavement investigations, material assessments, and geotechnical studies.
• Experience preparing and reviewing pavement design reports, traffic survey reports, and soil investigation reports.
• Experience in airfield pavement design and technical report preparation is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pavement and geotechnical investigations, including soil and construction material testing at project sites.
• Perform pavement design and analysis for highways, roads, airfields, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design reports, technical reports, proposals, and project documentation for approvals.
• Evaluate material properties and recommend suitable construction materials for projects.
• Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Analyze field and laboratory test data for geotechnical and pavement performance assessments.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure effective project execution.
• Use engineering software tools for pavement and geotechnical analysis.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of pavement design methods, including ERA, AASHTO, and other standard design approaches.
• Expertise in flexible pavement design, rigid pavement design, single surface treatment design, and double bituminous surface treatment design.
• Proficiency in engineering software used for pavement analysis and design.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing, geotechnical analysis, and pavement evaluation methods.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
