Job Overview

This document outlines the job description, tasks, and responsibilities of the Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer, who will be responsible for producing visually engaging and dynamic video content that aligns with our company's needs and industry standards. This role requires strong expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling principles. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our marketing team to create compelling videos that enhance brand messaging and audience engagement.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Shoot raw video footage as needed.
  • Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, visually compelling productions.
  • Develop and implement motion graphics and animations to enhance video content.
  • Work closely with other team members to develop concepts, storylines, and overall video production strategies.
  • Cut, splice, and synchronize video and audio clips, applying transitions, titles, sound effects, and color corrections.
  • Select and incorporate appropriate music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
  • Create, adapt, and optimize motion graphics for various projects, including promotional content, social media, and presentations.
  • Design and animate visual elements, infographics, and special effects for video productions.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop video marketing strategies tailored to client needs. 
  • Maintain high quality and accuracy throughout the video production process.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain production files and video libraries.
  • Continuously update and edit video content based on feedback from clients and colleagues.
  • Adhere to tight deadlines and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Provide concise, informative, and frequent reports weekly to project leads, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and actionable recommendations.
  • Actively contribute to project execution by providing expertise to define training requirements and schedules.
  • Leverage appropriate technology tools to enhance the learning experience and provide flexibility for trainees.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to stay updated on emerging training trends and methodologies.

Requirement

  • A bachelor's degree in any field or a certificate in video editing/motion graphics.
  • Strong knowledge of computer basics, including operating systems, file management, and commonly used software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and video output formats.
  • Ability to adapt motion graphics for various platforms (social media, web, presentations, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Expertise in motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong artistic ability, and a solid understanding of design principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to final delivery while meeting deadlines collaboratively and independently.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and emerging video technologies.
