General Responsibility: Implements the procedures set for the food and beverage section. He coordinates, controls and leads the activities of the restaurant, the room service, the bar, and the invitation ceremonies. He makes every effort to attract clients and to strengthen the hotels market. Detail Duties and Responsibilities: Set of standards of service in all areas including the bars, Restaurant and cafeterias. Carry out of internal training in all the various aspects of food and beverage service. Organize of an efficient system of table reservations so as to make the proper use of space by combining customer’s comfort and maximum occupancy. Organize shifts to cover days off, sickness, holidays, etc. Arrange special displays. Instruct in the proper knowledge of dishes on the menu and service procedures for them. Demonstrate specialized service techniques including flambé and Gueridon work. Give reception to clients on their arrival, the monitoring of their satisfaction during the meal, and bidding them goodbye on leaving. Supervise the smooth running of the operation and dealing with any problems or complaints that may arise. Stock up of all the drinks required in the Bar. Arrange the bar in all attractive manner. Ensure the bars are in a safe of good hygiene. Knowing the price of each drink, ensure the money is handled correctly. Guide, evaluate and control the staff working under his direct supervision. Assist the Food and Beverage manager. Education: A graduate Degree or Diploma form a recognized college/University in Food & Beverage Service, Hotel Management and Hotel Operation. Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in various sections of a hotel at least 1 years’ experience as a Restaurant Supervisor. Skill: Able to demonstrate v.good written and verbal communication in English.
