Position: Brand Manager

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with frequent travel to up countries

 Job Summary

Brand Manager is responsible for the research and development of brands through sales. He or she oversees the advertising for the product, directs the marketing research, and manages sales. Brand managers supervise all activities related to the brand; they are the key sources of information within the organization on the brand and on competitive products.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Brand Manager plays a managerial role in the brand marketing activities of the brand by overseeing the creation of engaging designs and content for the business’s marketing programs in order to ensure proper and consistent communication and embodiment of the brand’s identity and reach to the audience.
  • The Brand Manager plays a leading role in the management of all offline branded collateral production inclusive of sales, branded promotional items, and so forth. Work on Brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term
  • At this capacity, the Brand Manager oversees the establishment and building of relationships inclusive of the selection process, vendor management, and vendor evaluation and review. The Brand Manager also oversees major branding aspects of the brands such as budget, strategy, timeline, and the determination of approaches to creative execution of programs.
  • Coach and mentor team member
  • The Brand Manager also plays a strategic role in the business by taking a lead and being responsible for the development of creating innovative marketing programs based on the business’s overall strategies.
  •  The Brand Manager also formulates and facilitates tactical plans through the provision of appropriate promotional materials, works across all marketing mix elements, and employs appropriate channels of communication.
  • Oversee the development and execution of on-strategy, on-time and on-budget campaigns across channels including digital, print, etc.
  • Understand global needs and adaptations for international territories
  • Lead campaign performance readout and report KPIs. Uncover insights and make recommendations to optimize
  • In conjunction with the brand team, reviews and analyzes any new or revised brand design wording or architecture against current market trends in order to realize the probable impact of the approach at hand.
  • Regularly audit competitive and deliver quarterly strategic analysis
  • Also ensures completion of market analyses and monitors competitive activity (competitive analysis) in the market in addition to conducting financial modeling and gap analysis that will facilitate the prioritization of new opportunities, offer the business a competitive advantage, facilitate the development of new concepts, campaign strategies, and brand marketing programs.
  • Responsible for the generation of reports and presentations on the performance of brand marketing campaigns and programs and presents to the management to be used in the enhancement of campaigns and the formulation of new campaigns.
  • Use the sales figure reports to strategically map out a direction and design marketing campaigns to effectively tackle and get results with the brand and sales team. 
 

Qualification Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related field.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Experience of 4 years and above in Brand Management, creative agency background, and in a fast-paced and highly competitive business environment. Preferable in the FMCG sector.    
  • Will also have a proven and successful experience working with a team on a high-value business project, where he portrayed successful project management.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects from conceptualization to completion on time and even exceeding projected results.
