Key Responsibilities
Accounting:
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, bookkeeping, and data entry.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and handle payment follow-ups.
- Maintain petty cash and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations and prepare tax returns (VAT, Withholding, Income Tax).
- Support external audits and maintain accurate financial records.
Administration:
- Handle office administrative tasks, correspondence, and filing.
- Maintain employee records, leave schedules, and HR support documents.
- Ensure smooth operation of office facilities and supplies.
- Assist management in preparing reports, letters, and company documents.
Customer Service:
- Act as the first point of contact for clients (in-person, phone, email).
- Handle client inquiries regarding import/export, customs clearance, and freight forwarding services.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to ensure excellent client service.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in accounting, admin, or customer service (logistics industry experience is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian accounting and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in Amharic & English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, Odoo) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and handle responsibilities across finance, admin, and customer service.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
