Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with organizational financial policies and applicable regulations. The role contributes to effective financial management and supports informed business decision-making.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance functions
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper financial documentation.
- Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations including bank, receivables, and payable accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and internal controls.
- Support audit processes by preparing required documents and reports.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters and reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
