Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for handling all company cash and bank transactions accurately and efficiently. This role ensures proper documentation, timely deposits, and reconciliation of financial records while maintaining transparency and trustworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process payments in cash, checks, or bank transfers.
- Maintain accurate daily transaction records and petty cash summaries.
- Prepare bank deposit slips and ensure timely deposits.
- Handle cash withdrawals and transactions with banks on behalf of the company.
- Record all income and expenses and submit regular financial reports.
- Support the finance team with reconciliations and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Assist in preparing vouchers, receipts, and payment confirmations.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 0–2 years of experience in cashiering, accounting, or financial operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic accounting knowledge and numeracy skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling money.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting tools.
- Trustworthy and dependable character.
