Key Responsibilities
Clarify Terminology: Elaborate on technical and normative terminology associated with children's rights to adequate nutrition and safe drinking water.
Child Rights-Based Approach: Use a child rights-based approach to guide laws, policies, and programmes relevant to children's realities in Africa.
Outline State Obligations: Detail States' obligations regarding children's rights to adequate nutrition and safe drinking water.
Provide Guidance: Design child-sensitive social protection systems and comprehensive programmes for implementing children's rights.
Key Deliverables
Inception Report: Prepare inception report and draft outline of the General Comment and present to the ACERWC.
Draft Development: Develop a first draft of the General Comment and refine based on input for presentation to ACERWC.
Participation in Sessions: Participate in ACERWC sessions, coordination, planning, consultation, and validation meetings.
Final Draft: Develop the final draft of the General Comment based on feedback, for adoption by ACERWC.
