Cost Accountant Intern

Job Purpose

The Cost Accountant Intern will support the Factory Finance team in:

• Recording, reconciling, and documenting financial transactions related to leaf and NTM materials.
• Assisting in data collection, reporting, and analysis for conversion costs and Capex.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial records in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post incoming materials, GRNs, and consumption vouchers in Navision for leaf and NTM materials.
• Prepare usage and wastage reports for raw materials, comparing actual consumption with standards.
• Maintain and update NTM and leaf purchase records.
• Support the preparation of monthly conversion cost and Capex reports and analysis.
• Collaborate with entity finance teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions for smooth period closing.
• Participate in stock takes, propose improvements for storage handling, and support inventory adjustments.
• Maintain shelf life databases for NTM materials and assist with provisions and age analysis.
• Contribute to the preparation of operational and financial forecasts (OLs, LEs, ASPs).
• Provide support for ad-hoc finance tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• BA Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fresh graduate (no prior experience required).
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Detail-oriented, proactive, with strong analytical and organizational skills, eager to learn.
