Summary
The Field Sales Agronomist will be responsible for combining strong agronomic expertise with field-based sales activities. The role focuses on promoting crop protection and agricultural input products, supporting farmers with technical advice, and driving sales growth through direct customer engagement in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell agricultural inputs and crop protection products in assigned areas
- Conduct regular field visits to farmers, cooperatives, and distributors
- Provide technical agronomic advice and product recommendations
- Identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to market expansion
- Monitor field performance and report market feedback to management
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following or related fields:
- Agricultural Business
- Agricultural Economics
- Weed Science (or related + business field)
- Entomology (or related + business field)
- Plant Pathology (or related + business field)
- Agronomy or any related agricultural discipline with a business background
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Strong experience in direct farmer engagement and rural sales activities is an advantage
