Job Overview

Silk Road Hospital is seeking a motivated IT Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will:

• Support and maintain the hospital’s IT systems
• Ensure reliable operation of all hardware, software, and network components
• Troubleshoot and assist end-users
• Uphold the security and performance of our technology infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and maintain computers, software, operating systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Respond quickly to technical support requests and service issues
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
• Safeguard data integrity and manage network access
• Continuously monitor and support the hospital’s IT infrastructure
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords
• Assist in deploying new technologies and software applications
• Deliver technical guidance and training to staff
• Keep thorough records of IT assets and maintenance activities
• Ensure adherence to IT security protocols
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and upgrades
• Conduct routine system updates and preventive maintenance
• Provide technical support for medical devices

Working Hours

Standard office hours (8 hours per day, 48 hours per week)

Compensation

Salary will be based on the hospital’s established pay scale.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician
• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of networking basics is advantageous
• Experience through internships or academic projects is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with hospital management systems is desirable

• Basic proficiency in computer hardware and software installation
• Experience with Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Ability to assist with system updates and data backups
