About the Role

As a Finance Associate, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely, data-driven decisions to enhance company performance.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintain general ledger entries: cash, bank, accounts payable/receivable, revenue, etc.
• Ensure proper implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Review and approve payment documentation as per company policy.
• Follow up on receivables; visit clients for collections when needed.
• Prepare and submit monthly tax declarations via ERA before the 22nd (EC).
• Manage payroll, daily laborer payments, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain and update employee records.
• Support internal teams and respond to external financial inquiries.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors or managers.

Location: Actuel Urban Living Showroom & Main Office, (Laphto mall) Addis Ababa

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (1-hour lunch); Saturday half-day

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related field
• Experience: Minimum 3–4 years in a junior accounting or finance role

Competencies & Skills

• Proficient in double-entry accounting
• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Familiarity with IFRS and Ethiopian tax regulations
• Proficient in MS Office and Peachtree
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
