As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Finance Manager to strengthen our financial systems, ensure compliance with Ethiopian regulations, and improve financial controls across our operations.

Job Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for strengthening internal financial controls, improving accounting systems, and supporting the company’s growth with reliable financial data. This role requires a mix of hands-on financial management and the ability to provide strategic insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and timely submission of tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve warehouse and operational financial management.
  • Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor company cash flow and working capital to ensure healthy liquidity.
  • Support external audits and maintain proper documentation for compliance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking of sourcing, warehouse, and sales operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, IFRS training) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, accounting standards, and financial compliance.
  • Experience in implementing or managing accounting systems (ERP experience is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-growing startup environment.
