Job Description
The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing various financial aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves working closely with different departments to ensure financial efficiency and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Preparation/review of monthly accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations and timely reporting to the customs office.
- Calculate and audit operational costs, maintaining adherence to budgets.
- Organize and manage financial documents for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports.
- Handle bank transactions, ensuring compliance and maintaining relationships with banking partners.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
