Finance & Operations Officer

About the Job

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to manage, monitor, and record all company transactions related to operations in Djibouti, including international trade activities with China and other countries, as well as transactions between Djibouti and Addis Ababa.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management

• Record and track all bank transactions, including incoming and outgoing payments.
• Monitor company accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Follow up on payments, transfers, and settlements.
• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries.

2. Transaction & Documentation Control

• Maintain proper records of all financial and operational transactions.
• Organize and update documentation related to trade activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and basic trade regulations.

3. Communication & Coordination

• Communicate with international suppliers and partners.
• Coordinate between Djibouti operations and Addis Ababa office.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management.

About You

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations Management.

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of international trade processes.
• Knowledge of banking transactions.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Ability to follow up and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, email, and reporting.

Preferred Criteria

• Female candidate.
• Experience in Djibouti trade operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation.
