Job Description
The FLM is responsible for promoting dermatological products, ensuring that product messaging, scientific knowledge, and compliance standards are effectively delivered to healthcare professionals across designated regions through strategic promotion.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular joint field visits to assess execution, provide feedback, and support representatives.
- Monitor KPIs including call rate, coverage, frequency, and sales achievement, and implement action plans for underperformance.
- Organize and lead cycle meetings, territory reviews, and performance appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and pharmaceutical marketing regulations.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for increasing return on investment.
- Oversee successful product launches and develop effective market positioning strategies.
- Develop comprehensive product strategies to drive sales growth.
- Create impactful promotional materials to support sales efforts.
- Provide product training to sales teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate product performance and recommend profitability improvements.
- Develop new and innovative promotional materials.
- Organize pre-launch and launch activities for new products.
- Create and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Create a strong customer profile database and develop follow-up strategies.
- Conduct market assessments for product trends and changes.
- Ensure product availability in tenders of different stakeholders.
- Manage product flow and supply coordination.
- Collaborate with business development, operations, and tender departments.
- Coordinate and develop marketing, sales, and financial plans for product lines.
- Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
- Prepare market plans for focused products to achieve financial objectives.
- Determine initial product purchase quantities and maintain twelve-month forecasts.
- Assess, evaluate, and plan promotional activities such as CME, grand rounds, and annual conferences.
- Coach and train field staff when required.
- Travel with medical representatives and visit KOLs.
- Develop strategic direction for product portfolio growth.
- Assess market trends, usage data, and customer feedback for existing products.
- Conduct SWOT analysis of product lines and guide sales teams to maximize opportunities.
- Lead forecasting, pipeline strategy, launch strategy, post-launch activities, and growth initiatives.
- Use strategic market analysis to improve portfolio decisions.
- Develop core product positioning and messaging.
- Prioritize product features and capabilities.
- Define product vision, roadmap, and market positioning.
- Communicate product vision to marketing teams to gain market share.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
Professional and Personal Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a relevant field.
