Job Summary
The HR and Contract Coordinator (Maternity Leave Cover) will provide temporary support to the Human Resource and Contract Management functions, ensuring smooth HR operations, recruitment coordination, contract administration, staff documentation, and HR system management in compliance with Ethiopian labor regulations and PAD’s internal policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
HR Operations and Recruitment Coordination
Lead and facilitate end-to-end recruitment processes, including vacancy posting, candidate screening, exam scheduling, interview coordination, and onboarding documentation. Ensure staff induction and organizational policy compliance awareness.
Contract Administration and Tracking
Prepare, administer, and track staff contracts, renewals, amendments, and terminations in alignment with Ethiopian labor law and PAD’s contract management standards, ensuring the contract period clearly reflects maternity leave coverage.
HR System and Database Management
Maintain and update the HR database, ensuring accuracy of employee records, including employment dates, position, salary, and project assignment. Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in HR information systems are mandatory requirements for this role.
HR Documentation and Filing
Ensure personnel and contract files are properly documented, securely filed, archived, and managed both physically and digitally, maintaining strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
Reporting and Internal Coordination
Prepare HR and contract-related reports for management as required. Maintain HR correspondence records, contract logs, and staff documentation for audit and decision-making purposes. Provide professional and confidential HR support to internal stakeholders while safeguarding PAD’s values and reputation.

Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract tracking tools.
- Mandatory practical experience in HR information systems and database management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience in HR operations and contract administration, preferably in NGOs or development organizations.
- HR System Knowledge: Knowledge and practical experience in HR systems is mandatory.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.
