Job Purpose:
To lead the HR & General Services functions at Minaye Furniture Manufacturing, ensuring effective workforce management, compliance with labor laws, and seamless administrative support to enhance productivity and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end hiring (job postings, interviews, orientation) for factory staff.
- Address grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in line with company policy.
- Implement appraisal systems, track KPIs, and recommend training/development plans.
- Ensure adherence to Ethiopian labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage payroll processing, attendance, and leave records accurately.
- Administer employee benefits (insurance, bonuses, allowances) and resolve queries.
- Supervise office/factory maintenance, cleanliness, and security services.
- Coordinate transport, canteen, and other employee welfare services.
- Manage procurement of office supplies and HR-related assets.
- Prepare HR reports (turnover, headcount, training metrics) for management.
- Propose initiatives to improve retention, productivity, and workplace culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in HR & general services, preferably in manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: HRIS/payroll software, labor law knowledge, Excel.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, conflict resolution, multitasking.
