Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, Agri-business, or a related field.
Work Experience:
- Maximum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with international organizations and supporting agricultural development projects is preferred.
- Understanding and experience in project monitoring and evaluation is an advantage.
- Experience working within the horticulture (potato) supply chain is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of cooperative development and agricultural projects.
- Provide technical and operational support to cooperatives and project beneficiaries.
- Assist in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Support training, capacity-building, and advisory services for cooperatives and farmers.
- Collect, analyze, and report project data to support monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support.
- Prepare activity reports, documentation, and other project-related records.
- Support the achievement of project objectives and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Good understanding of agricultural development and cooperative systems.
- Knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation principles.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- High proficiency in Afaan Oromo is required.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Initiative, creativity, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project field locations.
- High level of professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to project objectives.
