Job Description
The Junior IT Support Officer is responsible for providing technical assistance and ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves supporting hardware, software, network operations, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT assets, and assisting users to ensure efficient business operations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Work Experience:
- No prior work experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and connectivity problems.
- Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Monitor and maintain office network infrastructure and internet connectivity.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.
- Ensure data security, system updates, and antivirus protection.
- Document support activities and prepare IT reports as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to handle multiple support requests efficiently.
