Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by conducting tests, preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate and reliable test results. The role ensures compliance with laboratory safety standards, quality control procedures, and proper documentation of all laboratory activities.

Educational Qualification:

• Evidence of formal education and technical proficiency in laboratory sciences or related fields.

Work Experience:

• 0–5 years of relevant work experience in laboratory settings.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, prepare, and analyze laboratory samples according to standard procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments properly.
• Perform routine and specialized tests as assigned by supervisors.
• Record and document test results accurately and maintain laboratory logs.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of samples and reagents.
• Follow strict laboratory safety protocols and hygiene standards.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Report abnormal test results or equipment issues to senior staff.
• Support quality control and assurance activities within the laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
