Henosis Saving and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd (HSACCO) is a legally registered organization by the Cooperative Bureau of Nifas Silk Lafto Sub City. Henosis SACCO envisions becoming one of the best SACCOs in Ethiopia by 2030, fulfilling its members’ economic and social needs. Its mission is to improve the socio-economic conditions of members and the community through mobilizing savings and creating access to credit.

Job Summary: The Loan Officer is responsible for mobilizing members to take loans, receiving and processing loan applications, conducting initial screening, and providing necessary guidance to ensure members meet loan requirements and criteria.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mobilize members to participate in loan programs and financial services
• Receive and process loan applications accurately and efficiently
• Conduct initial screening and verification of loan applicants
• Provide guidance and information to members on loan procedures and requirements
• Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with SACCO policies
• Coordinate with relevant departments for loan approval and disbursement
• Maintain proper records of loan applications and client information
• Follow up on loan repayments and support recovery efforts when needed

Qualification: BA Degree in a relevant field

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience, with at least 1 year directly related to the SACCO sector

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic financial analysis and evaluation skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to work with clients and build trust
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Office applications)
