Job Description
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations and ensuring patients receive professional, efficient, and courteous service. The role includes welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, handling inquiries, maintaining records, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth healthcare service delivery.
Education:
- A minimum of a College Diploma /10+3/Level III Certificate in English Language, Secretarial Science, Office Management, or any related field of study from a recognized TVET/College/Institute.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a recognized organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage patient registration and appointment scheduling processes.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls and direct communications appropriately.
- Maintain patient files, records, and administrative documentation.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate patient flow and service delivery.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of patient information.
- Process and organize medical and administrative documents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Support billing, reporting, and other front office administrative activities where required.
- Perform additional related duties assigned by supervisors.
