Job Summary
The Procurement & Logistics Officer manages supplier database registries, purchase orders, contract negotiation files, inventory tracking sheets, supply forecast models, cost-saving logs, and compliance documentation. Core duties include evaluating vendor performance; streamlining shipping and delivery logistics; managing stock thresholds based on project timelines; and preparing procurement reports for management review.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Contract Negotiation
- Manage the full procurement process, stretching from systematic supplier selection and rigorous market research through to finalized contract negotiations.
- Target and evaluate high-performance vendors, building collaborative, long-term supplier relationships to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Design and implement cost-saving initiatives through data-driven strategic sourcing and smart purchasing decisions without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional corporate teams to align purchasing strategies and project budgets with long-term business development goals.
2. Logistics Coordination & Inventory Optimization
- Coordinate daily logistics workflows to secure the timely, efficient transport and delivery of products, goods, and specialized services.
- Monitor branch inventory benchmarks, using analytical skills to forecast future supply needs against active project timelines.
- Assist management in drafting clear, structured procurement plans and department budgets to prevent material bottlenecks.
3. Compliance Maintenance & Documentation Architecture
- Maintain strict accuracy and detail when processing internal purchase requisitions, invoicing matches, and inventory ledgers.
- Enforce complete compliance with standard company policies, internal financial controls, and local regulatory requirements for all procurement events.
- Prepare, organize, and present clear supply chain performance reports and documentation files for executive management review.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Academic Track
- Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Management, or a related commercial field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience handling corporate procurement processes, vendor management, or supply chain logistics.
- Technical Tool Mastery: Highly proficient in utilizing modern procurement management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for inventory tracking and data analysis).
- Supply Chain Expertise: Practical knowledge of supply chain management principles, inventory control techniques, and standard logistical workflows.
