Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mixing, filling, and packing operations according to production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to formulations, batch manufacturing records (BMR), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for timely repair and preventive maintenance.
- Control material usage, minimize waste, and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and machines.
- Verify and approve batch records, logbooks, and production reports.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Housekeeping (5S), and ISO standards.
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation in the production area.
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for in-process testing, sampling, and product release.
- Ensure traceability and documentation as per requirements.
- Supervise and guide operators and line workers, ensuring discipline, teamwork, and safety.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new staff and ensure competency of operators.
- Evaluate performance and recommend development plans for subordinates.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
- Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Participate in process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support new product trials and process validations.
Qualification
- BSc in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetics science & technology, or related fields with a minimum of 2–5 years of experience, preferably in cosmetic or personal care.
- Experience in supervising a team in a GMP or ISO-certified facility.
