Job Purpose
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that sportswear products manufactured at Gofere Sport Wear Manufacturing meet required quality standards. The role focuses on monitoring production processes, inspecting garments, and preventing defects to maintain consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, cutting, sewing, and finishing processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct inline and final inspections of sportswear products based on approved samples and specifications.
- Identify defects, record quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions with production teams.
- Ensure proper measurement, stitching, fabric quality, and finishing of garments.
- Work closely with production supervisors to reduce defects, rework, and rejection rates.
- Maintain quality inspection records and prepare simple quality reports.
- Support internal quality audits and buyer requirements when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Garment Technology, Textile, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of hands-on experience in quality control within the garment or sportswear industry.
- Good knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques.
