Senior Accountant (Female Only) – Construction Sector

About the Role

On behalf of our client we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with solid experience in the construction industry. This is a great opportunity for a talented professional who excels in financial management, project costing, and IFRS compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply correct revenue recognition methods (including IFRS 15)
• Perform accurate general ledger reconciliations and financial analyses
• Manage rental income, tenant deposits, and business center expenses 
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing processes
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and construction reporting standards
• Improve accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare required documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Up to 4 years of accounting experience
• Strong exposure to the construction sector is highly preferred 
• Knowledge of IFRS, especially construction contract accounting 
• Excellent reporting, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
