Job Overview:

As a Female Senior Baker at Cookies Time Bakery, you will be at the forefront of our French pastry and cake creation process, producing large quantities with precision and excellence. You’ll transform concepts into stunning and intricate masterpieces, contributing to the joy and memories of our customers' celebrations. Your artistic vision and attention to detail will be essential in delivering French pastries and cakes that not only meet but exceed expectations, leaving a lasting impression.

Responsibilities:

• Create authentic French pastries like croissants and eclairs
• Mix, knead, and shape dough per recipes
• Prepare fillings for pastries, like ganache, caramel sauce and custard
• Design custom cakes according to clients' preferences
• Produce high-volume baked goods efficiently and quickly
• Prepare creams and fillings from scratch for pastries.
• Monitor baking and proofing times
• Check stock levels and submit orders for material
• Skillfully work with frosting, fondant, and gum paste to craft intricate cake designs

Requirements & Skills:

• Preferably a Female
• 2-3 years experience in baking
• Certificate in culinary arts, pastry or relevant field
• Great attention to detail and creativity
• Speed and accuracy skills
• Time management & organization skills
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, and food hygiene
• Ability to understand and communicate in English
• Passport to travel

Other Preferable Skills:

• Basic Computer skills (can use office applications)
• Leadership Skills
• Administrative Skills

Salary & Benefits:

Monthly Base Salary: USD 220.00

Monthly Air Ticket Allowance: USD 60.00

Monthly Health Care Allowance: USD 20.00

Accommodation: Provided in Kind

Food: Provided in Kind

Internet: Provided in Kind

Total Monthly Payable Salary: USD 300.00

Location: Presently based in Hargeisa, Republic of Somaliland > Location 

Working Hours: 48 hours per week (overtime will be required during peak days and is payable as per the Somaliland Labor Law Overtime rate).

Annual Leave: 30 calendar days paid annual leave for each completed year of employment.

Employment Status: Single (Unaccompanied)

Probation: 60 calendar days following the commencement of employment in Hargeisa, Republic of Somaliland. Probation is extendable up to 4 months if the candidate does not pass the probation.

Contract Duration: 3 Years (renewable)

End of Service Award: Per Somaliland Labor Law
