Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Research Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth market research, analyze industry trends, and provide actionable insights to enhance our product offerings. By evaluating competitor strategies, customer preferences, and market dynamics, this role will ensure our business remains competitive and innovative.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the furniture industry.
- Analyze competitor products, pricing, and strategies to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor customer preferences, feedback, and purchasing behavior to guide product development.
- Research new markets, customer segments, and potential partnerships.
- Gather and analyze data from surveys, focus groups, industry reports, and sales data.
- Use statistical tools and software to interpret data and generate insights.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and market trends.
- Provide recommendations for product improvements based on research findings.
- Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align offerings with market demands.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new product launches or modifications.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and visualizations to senior management.
- Support marketing, pricing, and sales strategies with data-driven insights.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven minimum 1 year experience in market assessment .
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, SPSS, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
- Familiarity with the furniture industry (preferred but not required).
