Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Biomedical Equipment Technician based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Biomedical Equipment Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing regular inspections, troubleshooting problems, ensuring electrical safety, and scheduling preventive maintenance. This role also involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
Qualifications
- Experience in Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety and Medical Equipment
- Skill in Calibration procedures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Relevant certifications or a degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related field
Job location
Based in Addis Ababa with field trips to all regions of the country
Language Proficiency
Multi linguality in local Languages is a bonus
