Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s financial records and tax-related activities. This role requires frequent visits to The Ministry of Revenue(ገቢዎች) to handle tax filings, document submissions, and compliance matters. Experience in trading businesses is preferred, and knowledge of import/export transactions is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Handle tax declarations and compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Regularly visits The Ministry of Revenue(ገቢዎች) to submit documents, process tax matters, and follow up on company tax issues.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Prepare invoices, payments, and expense records.
- Assist with financial audits when required.
- Support accounting tasks related to trading and import/export activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Good experience dealing with the Ministry of Revenue (tax office) and tax procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in trading companies preferred.
- Import/export accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle government office processes and follow-ups.
