Job Summary
This is a contract role where the accountant is expected to help fill in across the different Finance functions where necessary, as we prepare for year end closing and the external audit.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting journal entries to the ledger
- Controlling and posting accruals and prepayments to the GL on time
- Performing vendor balance reconciliation
- Inventory control and management
- Participating in the monthly inventory count
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing all required documentation and ensuring transparency in reporting.
- Keeping financial documents filed away properly
- Perform any other assigned duties and support the Country Lead BPM where needed.
- Ensuring compliance with Minister of Revenue declarations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Record all transactions accurately and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements and other reports.
Qualification
- Education : BA degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience : Fresh graduate
Core Competency
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments.
- Good time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
