AFR and Gateway Team Leader
The AFR and Gateway Team Leader is responsible for overseeing air freight import and export operations, ensuring efficient customer relations, and coordinating team activities to achieve operational excellence in freight forwarding processes.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience as an Air Freight Imports & Exports customer relations controller
- 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role with direct reports
- At least 4 years of experience directly related to air freight and logistics duties and responsibilities
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and customer-focused skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of international trade terms and logistics operations
- Understanding of regulations such as SARS and export compliance requirements
- Experience with CargoWise system is an advantage
- Assertiveness and ability to make decisions under pressure
