Job Summary
The Agriculture Business Manager will lead the sales, spare parts, and service operations of the Agriculture Division across Ethiopia. The role involves:
- Strategic planning and budgeting
- Team management
- Business development to ensure growth and profitability
This individual will be responsible for:
- Identifying market opportunities
- Expanding the customer base
- Overseeing cross-functional operations
- Achieving sales and service targets
- Conducting regular market research
- Providing periodic performance reports
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and supervise agricultural equipment sales, spare parts, and after-sales service.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive growth and market presence.
- Achieve sales and service revenue targets by managing and motivating the sales team.
- Strengthen after-sales service and parts distribution performance.
- Establish strong customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and monitor competitors.
- Provide coaching, support, and performance feedback to sales representatives.
- Coordinate operations across sales, service, and support departments.
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement through training and implementation of best practices.
- Ensure alignment with corporate standards, legal compliance, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- MSc or BSc in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years (with BSc) or 12 years (with MSc) of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years in a sales or business development managerial role within the agricultural sector.
- Proven success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving strategic growth.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- In-depth technical knowledge of agricultural machinery and after-sales services.
- Experience with inventory management and corporate business practices.
- Strong business acumen and industry awareness.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, AGCO NET, and EPSILON.
- Commitment to professional development and learning.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferably Ethiopian nationality.
