Attorney, Legal Research And Advisory

Job Summary

The Legal Research and Advisory Officer is responsible for safeguarding the Bank’s interests by preparing legal briefs, rendering legal advice, and providing opinions on laws, rules, regulations, and contracts in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Additional certification in law, banking, finance, or similar fields is an advantage.

Experience

• At least four (4) years of relevant experience.

Functional/Technical Competencies

• Good knowledge and understanding of the financial sector regulatory framework.
• Good understanding of contract management.
• Ability to develop proposals, concept papers, position papers, and write reports and relevant publications.
• Legal research skills.
• Commercial experience in drafting basic contracts and reviewing contractual documents.
• Legal writing and drafting skills, specifically the ability to write legal opinions and memos.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive contract reviews.
